Dianna MacDonald
I am a local Calgary artist that enjoys working in all mediums. I started painting in 1991 after taking an evening watercolor class. I fell in love with the way the water and paint infused the paper with color. Since then, I have been working with acrylic and oil paints plus collage papers. I’ve found that each medium has its own personality that can enhance the subject matter so I find myself rotating through them all. Nature plays a prominent theme in my paintings. Even the abstract pieces tend to have organic shapes within. Art has definitely given me new eyes and a greater appreciation for the beauty in our world!
